Giants give rookie Steven Duggar silent treatment after first homer

Steven Duggar won't forget the date of August 4 any time soon.

That's because Giants outfielder hit his first career home run Saturday against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Shortly after Duggar touched home plate, his teammates in the dugout acted like nothing happened.

Well, briefly, at least.

The homer marked Duggar's fifth between San Francisco and Sacramento (Triple-A) in 2018. He entered Saturday slashing .257/.321/421 in his first season in the bigs, and his homer was also his seventh extra-base hit in the majors.
