The 2011 Taiwan All-Star Series is set for Nov. 1-6, and it will be Giants manager Bruce Bochy who skippers the MLB team for their five-game exhibition trip.
The Taiwan All-Star Series features five games between the Chinese Taipei national team and Bochy's band of MLB players. The games will be played in three different cities, New Taipei City (XinZhuang Stadium), Taichung (Intercontinental Stadium), and Kaohsiung (Chengcing Lake Stadium).
MLB and the Players Association released a tentative roster Friday, which also included Giants third baseman Pablo Sandoval. San Francisco will be the most well represented team, as Bochy will bring his bench coach, Ron Wotus, and bullpen catcher, Billy Hayes, along for the ride. Interestingly enough, Bochy will be bringing the Dodgers pitching coach, Rick Honeycutt, as well as Tampa Bay hitting coach Derek Shelton.
