Pitchers and catchers report to spring training in less than a month with baseball fans itching for the game's return.
In the meantime, the future continues to be a topic with prospects rising to the pros faster each year.
On Friday, Giants prospect Christian Arroyo was put on display as MLB Pipeline of MLB.com revealed their Top 100 Prospects list. Arroyo was the lone member of the Giants farm system, coming in at No. 82.

The 20-year-old middle infield prospect enjoyed a solid year in the minors last season where he continued to race up San Francisco's top prospect rankings. He hit .304/.344/.459 with nine home runs in 90 games played at Advanced-A for the San Jose Giants.
Arroyo was invited to the Arizona Fall League after the season and was also named to the Fall Stars Game, where he started at second base.

“We’re all marveling at how fast the bat is coming,” Giants VP of baseball operations Brian Sabean said on Arroyo. “Now, will he be a shortstop? I don’t think so. Is he going to be a second baseman or third baseman? We have to flush that out. But this guy is a legitimate bat.”

Arroyo was named one of 21 players that will be in big league camp for spring training as a non-roster invitee.
Where Arroyo eventually plays on the field when he reaches the majors is still a question. Right now, he is blocked by Brandon Crawford, 29, at shortstop, Joe Panik, 25, at second base, and Matt Duffy, 24, at third base.

"It'll be interesting to see how many different places he can play so he can rise up here sooner than later," Giants GM Bobby Evans said on Arroyo's development.
Giants catcher Aramis Garcia was named the No. 10 catching prospect.
Dodgers shortstop/third baseman Corey Seager, 21, was named the top prospect heading into the 2016 season.
