Frustrated Crisp hits in cage again, not ready

ARLINGTON -- Another day, another Coco Crisp pink eye update. The A's leadoff hitter is still out of the starting lineup. He is however progressing, he hit in a cage for the second day in a row. He has been on the field running and participating in baseball activities and was used as a pinch runner on Tuesday and stole a base. He is still not quite ready to return.

"Sooner the better for me but he's got to feel comfortable and we're still not at that point yet," A's manager Bob Melvin said of Crisp. Crisp took to Twitter to express his frustrations on Tuesday morning. Its so frustrating have this pink I crap! He is hitting .251 with 10 home runs and 42 RBI this season. He leads the team with 36 stolen bases and is tied for fifth in the American League with seven triples.
