Stephen Drew met with the media Saturday and said he's 'optimistic' but doesn't know if he'll be ready for Opening Day, according to the Diamonbacks' official Twitter account.

The 29-year-old shortstop was batting .252 with five home runs and 45 RBI in 86 games before injuring his ankle on a slide into home plate.
