SACRAMENTO -- For the second game in a row, A's outfielder Yoenis Cespedes is playing left field for the River Cats. Monday night, Cespedes only had one ball hit his way on defense. He went 1 for 3 at the plate, and played just five innings. Cespedes is expected to play more than five innings on Tuesday against the Fresno Grizzlies, the San Francisco Giants' Triple-A affiliate.Cespedes, who the A's signed to a four-year 36M contract, was expected to be the everyday center fielder in Oakland. He played that position in each of his 28 games with Oakland, before being placed on the disabled list retroactive to May 7 with a strained muscle in his left hand. Before the season the A's decided to move veteran Coco Crisp to left field. Crisp has played the last seven games in center field for the A's. It appears they are planning to keep Crisp there when Cespedes returns from the DL. Cespedes appears to be on track to return June 1, when the A's visit Kansas City.
