With a strikeout of Dodgers right fielder Rob Segedin to begin the bottom of the fourth inning Tuesday night, Madison Bumgarner achieved a franchise-first.
Bumgarner became the first left-handed pitcher in Giants franchise history to strike out 200 batters in three consecutive seasons.
Four other Giants pitchers, all right-handed, have accomplished the feat: Tim Lincecum, Juan Marichal, Christie Mathewson and Amos Rusie.
