According to the beat reporters in attendance, the break caused sewage water to leak out onto the warning track near the Dodgers dugout and into the box seats along the foul line.

The grounds crew at the stadium attempted to sweep the water away. They also tried using the drying agent that is used following rain delays. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts, Angels manager Mike Scioscia and Dodgers president Stan Kasten discussed the situation on the field. They decided not to resume the game.

According to The Los Angeles Times, Kasten is not worried about the broken pipe impacting the season opener between the Giants and Dodgers on Thursday afternoon.
