As the Major League Baseball Players Association continues to fight with owners, Giants third baseman Evan Longoria and shortstop Brandon Crawford, along with their former teammate Kevin Pillar, have been busy fighting a troll on Twitter.
In the midst of players and the league not being able to come together regarding a season yet, Longoria tweeted Saturday that he just wants to get paid for every game he and the rest of the players around the big leagues are on the field. In response, one bitter Giants fan told the three-time All-Star to put together one productive season worth his contract.
Longoria wasn't having any of that. Neither was Crawford or Pillar.

Longoria, 34, is a career .267 hitter with 297 home runs and 1,1015 RBI. He also was the 2008 AL Rookie of the Year, is a three-time Gold Glove winner and took home a Silver Slugger in 2009.
The Giants acquired Longoria in December 2017 in a trade with the Tampa Bay Rays. The veteran third baseman hit .254 with 20 long balls last season, and has hit .249 with 36 homers since coming to San Francisco.

On Friday, the MLBPA released a statement saying they're done negotiating with MLB. The players association wants a schedule by Monday.
Now, we'll have to wait and see what happens next. No matter what, though, Giants teammates will have each other's backs on and off the field.
