
SAN FRANCISCO -- AT&T Park, home of the San Francisco Giants, will host the semifinals and final of the 2013 World Baseball Classic.
World Baseball Classic, Inc. announced all the venues for the WBC, with San Francisco getting the nod for the Championship Round after the Dodgers (2009) and Padres (2006) got the honor in the first two tournaments.
The Giants are excited to have been selected by MLB to host the Championship Round of the World Baseball Classic," Giants president and CEO Larry Baer wrote in a statement released by the team. "We believe that AT&T Park will be the perfect venue to showcase the best baseball players in the world as they represent their countries and compete in this one-of-a-kind international tournament. We look forward to bringing this international competition to one of the most international cities in the world!

First-round games will be held at the Diamondbacks' Chase Field in Phoenix and Salt River Field in Scottsdale. The Miami Marlins' new ballpark will host the second-round games.

Opened in 2000, AT&T Park is in its 13th season and has already hosted two World Series (2002 & 2010) and an All-Star Game (2007).
