In a rare two-game series, the Oakland A's will be going for a sweep Sunday when they host the St. Louis Cardinals.
In Saturday night's game, Mike Fiers threw another gem for Oakland as he notched his tenth win of the season after 5 2/3 innings allowing just one run on six hits with four strikeouts as the A's cruised to an 8-3 win.
After a day where the A's tallied eight runs -- including the tenth home run of the year for outfielder Chad Pinder -- the A's will face off with Cardinals ace Adam Wainwright in Sunday's game. Wainwright enters with a 7-7 record with a 4.47 ERA in 20 starts this season. He is 2-1 in three starts against the A's with a 1.14 ERA in his career.
