After a long offseason and hiatus, baseball is back and it’s A’s Opening Day in Oakland. The team will face the Los Angeles Angels on Friday to start a four-game series.
Frankie Montas gets the nod on the mound against Andrew Heaney.
Montas earns the start after posting a 2.63 ERA in 2019, and strong spring training and summer camp outings. He also was hitting the triple digits as he practiced during the hiatus and maintained a strict workout regime, training the entire time he was in Arizona.
