A's starter Andrew Triggs exits start with right forearm nerve discomfort

Andrew Triggs was pitching well and the A's offense had given him a 3-1 lead Thursday night, but an injury cut his outing short.

Triggs was removed from the game with one out in the bottom of the third inning. The A's announced that Triggs is dealing with right forearm nerve discomfort.

In 2.1 innings pitched, Triggs allowed one hit, one earned run, two walks and struck out one. So far this season, Triggs has a 5.23 ERA in 41.1 innings pitched.

Santiago Casilla replaced Triggs and pitched two innings and allowed one run.
