Oakland A’s right-handed pitcher Chris Bassitt had successful surgery on his right elbow Friday.

The surgery was performed by Dr. Timothy Kremchek at Beacon Orthopedics in Cincinnati and involved an ulnar collateral ligament reconstruction with an ipsilateral palmaris longus graft. Dr. Kremchek was pleased with the surgery and the outcome of the procedure.

Bassitt will return to Oakland on Sunday and begin his rehab on Monday.
