
OAKLAND -– The Oakland A’s recalled right-handed pitcher Jesse Hahn from Triple-A Nashville and optioned infielder/outfielder Arismendy Alcantara to Nashville, the club announced today.
Hahn joins the A’s for the third time this year and is 2-4 with a 6.49 ERA in seven starts over his previous two stints. He went 1-1 with a 3.00 ERA in two starts during his first stay from April 30 to May 7 and 1-3 with an 8.34 ERA in five starts during his second appearance from May 17 to June 9. Hahn is 1-5 with a 3.63 ERA in 12 starts with Nashville and surrendered just two home runs in 52.0 innings. He went 0-4 with a 5.02 ERA in seven starts following his June 10 option but was 0-1 with a 2.77 ERA over his final three starts.
Alcantara joined the A’s for the second time this year on Wednesday and went 1-for-5 in two starts. He is now 3-for-13 (.231) in five games overall with Oakland. Alcantara was acquired from the Chicago Cubs on June 9 for Chris Coghlan and was assigned to Nashville. He is batting .296 in 23 games with the Sounds and has a .274 batting average, seven home runs, 33 RBI and 28 stolen bases in 77 Triple-A games overall.
