The A's only sent one prospect to San Diego for the 2016 MLB Futures Game, but infielder Ryon Healy represented the organization well Sunday afternoon.
Serving as the designated hitter for the US Futures team, Healy doubled into the left field corner off of a 99-mile-per-hour fastball from Cardinals top pitching prospect Alex Reyes in his first at-bat. He moved to third base a ground out by Mets first base prospect Dominic Smith, but was stranded there.

He came up again in the third with runners at first and second and drew a walk. He was forced out at second base on a fielder's choice off the bat of Smith.
In his third plate appearance, Healy struck out in the fifth inning.
Healy came up one more time in the eighth inning and singled to left field off of Pirates prospect Dovydas Neverauskas, finishing the night 2-for-3 with a walk.
In 84 games between Double-A Midland and Triple-A Nashville this season, Healy is hitting .325/.382/.560 with 28 doubles, 14 home runs and 64 RBI.
