The A's placed fifth starter Felix Doubront on the 15-day disabled list Monday with what's listed as a sprained elbow, and recalled outfielder Andrew Lambo to take his roster spot.
Lambo will give Oakland an extra position player until the team needs a fifth starter for the first time Friday at Seattle. Jesse Hahn still appears the likely choice for that start, though Eric Surkamp and Sean Manaea remain options. Either of those two would have to be added to the 40-man roster however.

Lambo was among the A's final cuts Saturday. He hit .333 with two homers and five RBI in 25 games this spring. He's most likely an option at left field or DH.
