Instant AnalysisAfter going 0 for 5 with four strikeouts on Friday, Josh Reddick moves down the sixth spot in the order. Last time the A's skipper moved Reddick down it worked. He is batting .500 (9 for 18) with two doubles, one homer and two RBI in the sixth spot this season. The A's are still without Coco Crisp so Stephen Drew moves back to the leadoff spot. Yoenis Cespedes slides up to the three spot vacated by Reddick. Both Brandon Moss and Chris Carter are in the lineup.Top of the OrderSeth Smith takes the second spot in the lineup. He struck out while pinch hitting on Friday night but had a monster game on Thursday, going 3 for 4 with three runs, a double, a homer, and four RBI. Heart of the OrderYoenis Cespedes, Brandon Moss, and Chris Carter all have some serious power. They are batting 3-4-5 in the order. Carter has been scuffling but he is much better against right-handed pitching. It is tough to get Carter and Moss in the lineup with Crisp healthy, but the A's should try and find away to work them both in whenever possible. Bottom of the OrderLast time Reddick moved to the sixth spot in the order it snapped him out of a funk. He ended up going 14 for 28 with three homers and nine RBI over a six-game span en route to winning American League Player of the Week honors. The A's would welcome similar results. Starting PitchersThe A's have juggled their rotation and Travis Blackley (5-3, 3.36 ERA) will take the mound on Saturday. He will be opposed by Ivan Nova (12-7, 4.85 ERA). Blackley is 4-3 with a 3.97 ERA in 12 starting assignments for the A's.
