A's avoid arbitration with Reddick, Rodriguez

The A's reportedly avoided arbitration with another key player on Friday.

Josh Reddick and the A's settled on a one-year deal worth $6.525 million, according to Jon Heyman of MLB Network.

The price tag is less than Reddick's estimated 2016 arbitration salary on $7 million, according to mlbtraderumors.com.

Reddick, 28, hit .272 last season with 20 home runs and 77 RBI in 149 games.

The A's avoided arbitration with first baseman Yonder Alonso on Wednesday and with third baseman Danny Valencia on Thursday. Relief pitcher Fernando Rodriguez was also locked up reportedly to a one-year, $1.05 million deal. The A's have no more arbitration eligible players.
