OAKLAND – The Oakland A’s reinstated outfielder Josh Reddick from the 15-day disabled list and optioned infielder/outfielder Max Muncy to Triple-A Nashville, the club announced Tuesday.
Reddick was placed on the 15-day DL May 20 with a fractured left thumb. He went 3-for-25 (.120) with a double, home run and RBI on a six-game rehab assignment with Triple-A Nashville that began June 20. Reddick was hitting .468 over his final 14 games before the injury and is batting .322 with five home runs and 18 RBI in 41 games overall.
Muncy was batting .257 with two RBI in 14 games over two stints with the A’s. He was recalled most recently on June 10 and went 7-for-30 (.233) in 12 games, including 10 starts in right field. Muncy is batting .263 with seven home runs and 20 RBI in 44 games with Nashville.
