The A's struggling lineup has some healthy help as third baseman Brandon Inge was activated from the disabled list Monday after a stint on the shelf with a strained right groin.
Oakland placed Inge on the DL on May 17 after he hit four home runs and drove in 17 runs in 11 starts at third base since being signed as a free agent on April 30 after the Detroit Tigers released him.
The A's announced that catcher Anthony Recker was optioned to Triple-A Sacramento in a corresponding roster move.

While Manny Ramirez has struggled against Triple-A pitching, Inge had no such issues. In two games with the River Cats, Inge went 6-for-7 with eight RBI. On Saturday, Inge went 5-for-5 with two home runs and seven RBI.
Recker is back with the River Cats after hitting just .129 with no home runs in 13 games with the big-league club.
