Left off the AL All-Star roster on Sunday, Jed Lowrie was added to the team two days later.
Lowrie will take the place of Yankees rookie second baseman Gleyber Torres, who is on the disabled list due to a hip strain.
The selection is the first of Lowrie's 11-year career.

Among American League second basemen, Lowrie is tied for the league-lead with 16 home runs, leads the league with 62 RBI, is second with 25 doubles, and leads the league with a .504 slugging percentage.
Lowrie joins Blake Treinen as A's representatives at the All-Star Game.
The All-Star Game will take place Tuesday, July 17th in Washington D.C.
