The A's entire infield has a chance to be golden.
Matt Chapman, Marcus Semien, Jed Lowrie and Matt Olson all were named American League Gold Glove finalists at their respective positions, making the A's the only MLB team to have their entire infield nominated for the award.
Chapman, 25, is a heavy favorite to win at third base. He led all of Major League Baseball with 29 defensive runs saved and all third basemen with a 10.9 ultimate zone rating, 331 assists and a .853 zone rating. He was tied for first in the AL with 61 out-of-zone plays, and ranked second in putouts and third in double plays. Chapman led all of baseball in the SABR Defensive Index at 19.5.

Semien, 28, made a dramatic improvement defensively this season. He led all AL shortstops with a .849 zone rating and 458 assists, ranked second with 198 putouts, and third with nine defensive runs saved, an 8.3 ultimate zone rating and 79 double plays. Semien ranked third in MLB in the SABR Defensive Index at 11.6.
Cleveland's Francisco Lindor and the Angels' Andrelton Simmons are the other AL finalists at shortstop.

Lowrie, 34, led AL second basemen with a .993 fielding percentage, committing just four errors the entire season. He ranked first with a .845 zone rating and tied for first with 336 assists. Lowrie also was third with a 6.1 ultimate zone rating and tied for fourth with one defensive run saved. He ranked third among AL second basemen in the SABR Defensive Index at 4.9.
Boston's Ian Kinsler and Texas' Rougned Odor are the other AL finalists at second base.

Olson, 24, led Major League first basemen with 14 defensive runs saved, an 11.6 ultimate zone rating, 1,403 putouts and a .913 zone rating. He led AL first basemen in the SABR Defensive Index at 5.8 and ranked third with a .995 fielding percentage. Olson was the only first baseman in MLB to play all 162 games.
Boston's Mitch Moreland and Toronto's Justin Smoak are the other AL finalists at first base.
The A's last Gold Glove winner was Josh Reddick in 2012. Their last infielder to win the award was Eric Chavez in 2006.
Winners will be announced Sunday, Nov. 4.
